Inspired by a true legal case in Hong Kong, The Prosecutor tells the story of a man who falsely pleads guilty to drug trafficking after being framed for it. Despite the confession, the veteran police officer and later prosecutor (Donnie Yen) handling the case is convinced of the man’s innocence and conducts his own investigation, risking both his own life and safety.
