Some of Hollywood's biggest stars battled to play the Jackal in the 1973 film but the role went to the then unknown Edward Fox because director Fred Zinnemann thought he could pass invisibly in a crowd. (Air Mail). The storytelling is solid, with twists that keep you engaged, and the cinematography captures the eerie atmosphere perfectly.
Lynch's acting felt quite underwhelming
The cast delivers some really great performances.That said, I have to point out that Ms. Her performance came across as very one-dimensional, which unfortunately stood out in a cast full of strong, nuanced portrayals. It's not about race-I can think of several brilliant Black actresses who could've brought more depth and complexity to the role.
It's definitely not perfect, but it deserves attention
It's just that her performance didn't match the quality of the show overall, which was disappointing.Still, the show is worth watching for its story and the standout performances from other cast members.
