CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the spearhead of the agency’s war on terror. Real-life military advisors helped produce a more authentic execution of weapons handling, house cleaning, positioning, squad activities, etc. Referenced in Premios Soberano (2024). I’m a fan of Yellowstone and most of Taylor Sheridan’s work. However, this is a step too far. Now, it’s obvious that things have to go wrong to develop the plot, but wow! This group of seemingly special agents is incompetent. They bungle every operation they undertake. From the opening scene where the insurgents are allowed to start attacking before they realize they might be bad guys to the ridiculous decision to use a miserable, unsympathetic woman (the main character) to befriend a lively party target. I would happily accept this if it weren’t for the fact that this stuff is supposed to be taken seriously. Others here have already stated that the main character is portrayed as some kind of supergirl. And it’s true. She’s like a terminator! My main problem, though, is that she’s really unlikeable.
